Martin's XCr Di2 Road Bike.

here is martin's Di2 road machine. when martin approached me to build this frame, the idea was pretty straight forward, stiff, fast, pretty light, modern with a classic twist and a good fit. we hit the nail on the head. big oversized tubes on the front triangle with big smooth fillets with a polished rear triangle. the fast back seat stays are a homage to various italian classics and the battleship grey gives an otherwise clean lined frame a mean looking edge. to keep the frame looking smart, the wire entry hole reinforcements follow the same shape as the grommets and we hid the battery pack behind the chainring to disguise it even being there from the drive side. i also made some modifications to the battery mount by counter sinking the slots on the mill so the mounting bolts sat into the mount nice and flush. this was my first stainless fillet brazed frame and is joined com using fillet pro silver filler and a bit of 56% silver, meaning super low temperatures, distortion free and just a well treated process of joining a material which deserves the utmost respect.

Lovely touch. Is that a braze-on?

  2. Thanks!! Well, it is brazed on but its not a regular braze-on. It is actually just carve from the off cut of the heatube.

  3. Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Many thanks!
